Quantitative Analysis of ICC Profile Quality for Scanners
نویسندگان
چکیده
ICC profiling software is widely used in the graphic arts industry. The quality of a scanner profile created by profiling software using a single training target is discussed. A more stringent quantitative analysis of the profile quality is proposed. Different targets from different photo paper manufactures are used as the testing targets to compare the quality of the profiles. A grayscale was also used for testing the ability of profiling software to preserve gray balance. The results show that profiling software can generate apparently high quality profile for the training targets. However, the profile of one target assigned to the scan of other targets, used as originals, does not confirm this accuracy. Additionally, the RMS E values of grayscale assigned profiles are higher than the RMS E values of scanned targets assigned the same profile. _____________________ *Department of Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Imaging Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, MI 49008

Calculation of the Scattered Radiation Profile in 64 Slice CT Scanners Using Experimental Measurement
Introduction: One of the most important parameters in x-ray CT imaging is the noise induced by detected scattered radiation. The detected scattered radiation is completely dependent on the scanner geometry as well as size, shape and material of the scanned object. The magnitude and spatial distribution of the scattered radiation in x-ray CT should be quantified for development of robust scatter...
متن کاملNottingham Health Profile: reliability in a sample of 542 subjects with major amputation of one or several limbs.
The reliability of a generic health-related quality of life measure was assessed for subjects with major amputation of one or several limbs. The Nottingham Health Profile was sent a first time to 1011 limb amputees, and a second time to the 542 respondents to the first inquiry. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) between the answers to each survey was highest for the categories of dist...
متن کاملReproducibility of pulmonary blood flow measurements by phase-contrast MRI using different 1.5 T MR scanners at two institutions
BACKGROUND Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be beneficial for diagnosis of disease by offering quantitative information. However, reproducibility can be a major problem when there is a numerical threshold in multi-institution, multi-vendor situations. PURPOSE To measure pulmonary blood flow with phase-contrast (PC) imaging using two different MR scanners (1.5 T) at different institutions ...
متن کاملUsing Image Quality Metrics to Evaluate an ICC Printer Profile
The increased interest in color management has resulted in more options for the user to choose between for their color management needs. Evaluating the quality of each of these color management packages is a challenging and time-consuming task. We propose an evaluation using image quality metrics to assess the quality of a printer profile. This will determine the best solution for a given set o...

Introduction: Cone-beam CT (CBCT) is an imaging system which offers three-dimensional (3D), multiplanar images and has many advantages over computed tomography (CT) including shorter acquisition times for the resolution desired in dentistry, lower radiation dose to the patient, reasonable price and higher spatial resolution but CBCT scanners are unable to display actual Hounsf...
